Weathered Oak and Special Walnut (equal parts) had too many brown line and felt a little too red. Classic Gray was definitely a MAYBE. It had the most potential, but I wanted a little more warmth. Jacobean had black lines which was not something we were going for. Weathered oak looks too unfinished.

On red oak, it just falls flat. I don't really know what I mean by that, but it seems to have no life to it, and it appears to have a slight green undertone to it. I also ruled out the Special Walnut. It looks too light, too red, and too washed out. So my favorites are Dark Walnut stain and the mixture of Special Walnut stain and Dark Walnut stain.

I want to avoid bringing out too much red or yellow, but also don't want to go too dark. I am between Special Walnut and Provincial. Does anyone have any finished examples or advice on a neutral light brown? Thank you!
